The arts mentoring program aims to address the issues that plague the society of kids and individuals in low income and underprivileged communities in Pennsylvania through music and community involvement. The “arts mentoring” is focused on building the competence of children in music (instrumental and vocal), dance, drama, folk art, creative writing, architecture and allied fields, painting, sculpture, photography, graphic and craft arts, industrial design, costume and fashion design, motion pictures, television, radio, film, video, tape and sound recording, the arts related to the presentation, performance, execution, and exhibition of major art forms, all traditional arts practiced by the diverse people and culture, and the study and application of the arts to the human environment.

This program is committed to creating events and programs that promote a safe and nurturing environment that will help kids to develop a sense of purpose, boost self-esteem, enhance skill for success, and be empowered to make the choice to live a healthy lifestyle. We believe it’s important to listen to the hopes and dreams of children and to offer them resources and tools to help them realize their potentials towards a successful adulthood. We are dedicated to helping kids overcome their limitations and break the barrier of life challenges.

Our community involvement program is aimed at building the capacity of individuals and families through financial literacy, job creation, business and personal development. The capacity training program will provide coaching opportunities for individuals and families to be well equipped with essential skills and information on music, how to develop modern business strategy, break financial barriers and provide them with connections to technical assistance providers and private companies that provide business development services. The workshops will also train existing business owners on financial management for their businesses to enable them to run and grow their businesses sustainably. We are committed to encouraging aspiring and existing entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their businesses, reinvest in their businesses and revitalize our local economy. Individual  aspiring to be business owners will benefit from information and resources of our business planning sessions, personal and business finance management, risk management, business entity options, , workers’ compensation, government contracting, among other critical business related training.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Scientific evidence suggests that music can have a profound effect on individuals – from improving the recovery of motor and cognitive function in stroke patients, reducing symptoms of depression in patients suffering from dementia, even helping patients undergoing surgery to experience less pain and heal faster.

Music therapy is an established form of therapy to help individuals address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs. Music helps reduce heart rate, lower blood pressure and cortisol in the body. It eases anxiety and can help improve mood. Overtime the healing role and purpose of music have been forgotten in the modern society. We committed to helping at-risk individuals and families in low income communities through the support and creation of unique music education partnerships and programs as a way of revitalizing the lost glory of arts and music in communities.

Hence, the need for this laudable project to help mitigate this threat that has fallen upon the society and the world at large.

We do not envisage any major risks in this business. We will however keep assessing different situations during our review meetings and deal with challenges as they come.
